Alumni Appreciation Day
On February 20, 2009 the City of Peterborough will celebrate the first annual Fleming College Alumni Appreciation Day. This day is an opportunity for the community to recognize and celebrate the skills and services of Fleming College Graduates who work and live within the Greater Peterborough community. Employers and organizations are encouraged to hold a meeting, break or luncheon in honour of the Fleming Alum within their organization. Dr. Tony Tilly, Fleming College president, along with representatives from the Fleming College Alumni Association will visit local employers holding appreciation events. Fleming alumni and staff are invited to the Galleria at the Sutherland Campus in Peterborough at 1 p.m. to hear the Mayor’s Office official reading of the Proclamation along with words from President Tilly, MPP Jeff Leal and MP Dean Del Mastro. Guests will enjoy refreshments and an opportunity to reconnect with the people and places that made their college experience memorable. The Peterborough Petes will host Fleming College Appreciation Night on Thursday, February 19 at their game against the Ottawa 67’s. Contests, draws and a free gift are available to those Alumni who pay for their tickets through the Alumni Association office. An official alumni scarf is also available for purchase for those wishing to wear their pride.
