Police Foundations
Before I came to Fleming I was extremely shy; a trait I knew I had to overcome. I decided on my first day of school that I was going to change that. I forced myself to raise my hand to answer questions and become involved in group discussions. The teachers (although they did not know it) were great helpers in my undertaking. They were encouraging and did not make me regret any answer even a wrong one. Walking away from Fleming College on my last day of school, I was a completely different woman from when I first started. I am now a confident, assertive, and goal driven woman. Through hard work, dedication and with the encouragement of my teachers, I was able to come out of my shell.
I will continue to be active in the community and begin the process of applying to police services. I believe I am well on my way to meeting my goals as I am presently volunteering as an auxiliary officer with the OPP.
