Police Foundations
After completing my Bachelor of Arts at university, I had always planned on going to college to take Police Foundations. Out of all of the schools that offered the program, Fleming College stood out as being the best choice. Their curriculum was current and they provided so many opportunities for students to get hands on experience. I believe the classes I took in the Police Foundations Program have prepared me for when I attend the Ontario Police College and begin working as a police officer.
Fleming College also provided numerous volunteer opportunities with different community organizations. By volunteering, I not only gained personal satisfaction in knowing I was helping others, but I was able to add these experiences to my resume.
During my time at Fleming College, I gained valuable knowledge that will allow me to transition more smoothly into the world of policing. I now have a better understanding of what standards I will have to meet and what challenges I will have to face to get where I want to be.
The Police Foundations Program served to strengthen my desire to become a police officer and Fleming College provided me with the basic skills to achieve that goal. I have also made lasting friendships and contacts with my professors and fellow peers that I will cherish along with all of the lessons I learned along the way.
