Louise Jackson, a spinner and dyer for 25 years, earned her Master Spinner/Dyer Certificate from Georgian College in Owen Sound in 1996. She had a sheep farm for 23 years and taught fleece preparation and spinning basics to Grades 4 to 7 elementary school students. She also demonstrated at fall fairs and historical society events and offered presentations to knitting guilds. For the last three years Louise has also been the Dyeing Technician in the Haliburton OHS Spinning Certificate programs.
