Faculty Profile for Jim Blake
Haliburton School of The ArtsJim Blake works as a facilitator, consultant, project manager and educator. He was one of the founders of the Arts Council~Haliburton Highlands and served as its coordinator from 2002 -2008. Jim is as a consultant for the Haliburton County Development Corporation, the curator of the Haliburton Sculpture Forest (since 2001) and a part-time faculty member at the Haliburton School of The Arts where he teaches courses on business for artists. In 2008-2009 he coordinated a major initiative to help artists throughout Eastern Ontario reach a larger market for their work. Jim is a professional storyteller who, over the past twenty five years, has performed at festivals and venues across Canada. He studied visual art at the University of Guelph, York University and the New School of Art and exhibited his work as a visual artist from 1976 to 1984.
