Please note: Japanese Brush Painting levels I and II are required to participate in this course. Japanese Brush Painting III would be an asset but not absolutely necessary.'East meets West' - an exciting course that is designed to expand your creative horizons, and introduce you to numerous fascinating and creative watercolour methods that will harmonize with the art of Japanese Brush Painting. Instruction will include composition, design, western watercolour and further oriental brush techniques, interesting subjects blending traditional with non-traditional, textures, colour mixing, colour values to achieve depth, background washes, and spontaneous wet-in-wet explorations. Individual attention will encourage personal expression, finding your own 'voice' and creativity.
