Refresh or develop skills in the art of prop making and scenic painting for the theatre. Individual projects will include techniques used to paint a scrim, a translucency and a scenic drop. Experiment with a variety of tools to accomplish faux wood graining, marbling, splattering, ragging, sponging, stencilling, foliage, and blends. Conclude by creating a prop that consists of a platter of faux food. The food is created from foam, gel medium, acrylic paint, latex and more; the staples of setting the scene.
