Textiles - Special FX Workshop

Take textile surfaces beyond two dimensions. Explore a variety of techniques to bring 3D depth to your textile projects. A pre-prepared fabric kit will provide you with the materials to explore how colour, value, and relative size may be arranged to create the illusion of depth and/or layered elements. Another pre-prepared piece of fabric will take you into fabric manipulation. Bringing 3D to the fabric adds even greater depth, resulting in more play of light and shadow. Project placement and directional lighting will be an important part of all the exercises.
