Please note: This course is not suitable for beginners. Wheel throwing experience is required
Discover techniques that will enable you to use the pottery wheel as a tool for making a wide variety of hand built forms. Learn how to make oval, square and altered forms on and off of the wheel. Explore stacking forms, cutting thrown pieces and creating a variety of shapes and objects. Demonstrations will include objects such as: butter dishes, teapots, cups, bowls and vase forms. There will be an emphasis on playing with the material as well as some collaborative work and critical discussions.
