Kids' Musical Jam

Course Number: ARTS1411

Write, play and record original songs and perform in an interactive musical! This course involves costumes, props, singing, dancing, drumming, acting, song writing and recording and will culminate with a performance for parents and friends. For your listening pleasure, MP3s of the original songs will be posted online one week after the course is completed. You're encouraged to bring an instrument if you have one. Percussion instruments such as boomwhackers, tambourines, maracas, bells, rhythm sticks, shakers and triangles will be provided. Have great fun while you learn simple rhythm and movement, beat keeping, simple rhythmic patterns, response vocals, and creative self expression.
