Creative Choral Music

Enjoy this opportunity to experience the pure joy of the collective voice in song! If you are a singer with little or no choral experience or you have not sung beyond the limits of your shower, this is the course for you. You will explore choral music genres including folk music from around the world, First Nations songs, African and Asian chant, vocal jazz and spirituals. Sessions will include a holistic blend of improvisation, intonation, warm up, reading, and ear training exercises. The goal of this course is to free creativity and vocal flexibility, while getting acquainted with a variety of legitimate choral techniques. You will go home with a wealth of new repertoire and a renewed sense of creativity and energy.
