CPR - Basic Rescuer (Level C)

CPR training is divided into 2 categories. Both Lay Rescuer and HCP (Health Care Provider) will be covered in this course. Lay Rescuer is for those taking CPR as a personal, family or basic training. Successful participants will learn to perform adult, child and infant CPR and choking. This level removes, pulse checks, artificial respiration, jaw thrusts, etc from a "Lay Rescuers" performance criterion. The Standard First Aid certification includes a Lay Rescuer, CPR-C certification. The HCP (Health Care Provider) training is for health care professionals (including, Dentists, OT's, PT, firefighters, Injury Management personnel, etc.), and those responsible for advanced lifesaving and those wanting or requiring an advanced level of Emergency Training. Training components include, one and two person CPR for adults, children and infants (with pulse checks, artificial respiration, and jaw thrusts), obstructed procedures, and advanced training in Airway Management and AED (Automatic External Defibrillation). Those successfully completing this EMR (Emergency Medical Response) course will receive the HCP certification. Both CPR certifications will also overview Critical Incident Stress, cross contamination (awareness and protection), legalities, etc. NOTE: Due to the strenuous nature of the practice sessions, you should be in good health and dress comfortably.
