During this hands-on course at a local community kitchen, participants will learn how to preserve foods by boil-water canning, pressure canning, dehydrating, vacuum sealing, freezing, and root cellaring. Vegetables, meat and fruits will be prepared in the kitchen using these above methods. Participants should bring a sharp kitchen knife and a clean cutting board to the class.
