Discover the fascinating power of acrylic paint and its amazing potential. Imagine being able to cover your mistakes within minutes because of its fast drying properties. Enjoy the many processes that acrylics are suitable for and learn about the fabulous properties of this medium in a non-threatening environment, conducive to personal creative thinking. You will experience the medium in its full-strength, manufactured state as well as employ it as a stain with water added and then applied to unprimed canvas where it behaves like a watercolour with intense colour. Paint will also be used in flat, layered applications and in thick and textured processes that greatly enrich the surface. The instructor will bring some unique, personally developed experiences to the course and both traditional and abstract images can enhance your visual vocabulary and contribute to the enjoyment of the medium. You will benefit from close, personal attention and advice, in addition to learning from group critiques.
